In 2021, a bluebird started visiting us in late January. He brought a girlfriend several weeks later. The couple was back in January 2022 and stay until mid summer. Today, there were four at our feeder at the same time.

Today at Melton Hill Park – When I am in this park, I often remember that my grandfather harvested logs from his farm, assembled them into rafts and floated them from near the Virginia state line to Chattanooga. The annual Clinch River trips were before the 1930s and TVA lakes. He rounded Williams Bend here. Today the wildflowers were beautiful. My walk was a solum time for other reasons.
We don't see these guys in our part of the world very often. In our past, it has almost always been only a siting or two, spread over a few days. This guy has been gobbling away at our feeder all day.
